About the role
We are seeking a seasoned Legal & Secretarial Manager to lead our compliance and corporate governance functions. The role will ensure that the company meets all statutory, regulatory and board‑level obligations across India and internationally.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (2015) and other applicable regulations such as FEMA and the Companies Act 2013.
- Maintain board‑level compliance with SEBI guidelines, Secretarial Standards and related statutes.
- Develop, monitor and report on whistle‑blower policies and ethical reporting mechanisms.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to achieve timely filing of all secretarial and statutory compliances.
- Identify compliance risks, propose mitigation strategies and oversee their implementation.
- Review compliance status of plants and subsidiaries against local and global regulations.
- Drive digitisation of compliance processes and maintain monitoring dashboards.
- Maintain and update MIS of legal cases and present insights to senior management.
- Provide contract review, legal advice and support to business units.
- Liaise with external counsel and manage relationships with law firms.
- Stay current on legislative changes affecting the organization.
Required profile
- Professional qualification in law or company secretarial practice.
- Proven experience in corporate compliance, secretarial administration and regulatory reporting.
- Strong understanding of SEBI regulations, FEMA, Secretarial Standards and the Companies Act.
- Excellent analytical and risk‑assessment capabilities.
- Ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple compliance projects.
