Legal Counsel – Property Law & Title Verification

About the role

Aditya Birla Capital Limited is seeking a qualified Legal Counsel to join its Risk and Legal department in Delhi. The role focuses on property law, title verification, and documentation scrutiny for immovable‑property transactions, supporting the internal legal team and business units.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse Title Search Reports, legal opinions, revenue records, and municipal/tax documents.
• Identify encumbrances, litigations, and compliance issues related to land laws.
• Provide written legal opinions on title defects and recommend corrective actions.
• Advise business teams on title‑related risks, stamping, registration, and jurisdictional requirements.
• Support mortgage documentation review and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law.
• Experience in collection for mid‑market or corporate clients.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and high ethical standards.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Willingness to travel for on‑ground collection activities.

Required skills

• Technical proficiency in MIS.
• Familiarity with fraud detection systems.
