Key User – SAP Asset Accounting (S/4HANA)

About the role

We are looking for a Key User (KU) specialized in SAP Asset Accounting (FI-AA) on the S/4HANA platform. The role will support the finance team by ensuring accurate asset accounting, compliance with statutory and IFRS standards, and smooth migration from legacy systems.

Key responsibilities

• Act as functional expert for SAP Asset Accounting (FI-AA) in S/4HANA.
• Validate asset accounting configurations, including depreciation areas, asset classes, and account determination.
• Handle scrapping processes, intercompany sales, third‑party sales, transfers, and inventory differences.
• Adjust field status groups for depreciation and acquisition accounts related to Asset Master data.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, IFRS standards, and government grant testing.
• Perform testing and validation of asset postings and depreciation runs.
• Document processes, support benchmarking, and promote standardization.
• Maintain interfaces (ESM) and define approval workflows for asset sales and scrapping.
• Conduct end‑user training, update DTPs from R/3 to S/4HANA, and create training material.

Required profile

• B.Com, MBA in Finance (non‑correspondence) or equivalent accounting/financial management degree.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in SAP Asset Accounting or related finance functions.
• Experience working in cross‑functional, matrix‑organized environments.

Required skills

• Proficient knowledge of SAP FI – Asset Accounting on S/4HANA.
• Experience with data migration of asset master records and values.
• Understanding of financial close processes, provisions, accruals, and financial reporting.
