About the role
Openhouse is expanding its At Home learning programme, bringing high-quality Kannada instruction directly to families in Bangalore. As a Kannada Teacher you will work one-on-one with children aged 5-12 in their homes, tailoring lessons to each child’s language level and learning style.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personalized 1:1 Kannada teaching sessions in children’s homes, using stories, songs, conversation, reading and writing to make the language engaging.
- Assess each child’s current Kannada proficiency and adapt lesson plans to meet individual needs, especially for learners whose first language is not Kannada.
- Provide regular observations and feedback to the curriculum team to help refine the in-house Kannada curriculum.
- Offer practical insights on effective learning sequences, identify areas where children struggle, and continuously improve teaching methods based on classroom learnings.
