Junior Software Developer in Test (QE)

About the role

Apple’s IS&T team is seeking a motivated Junior Software Developer in Test to help build and maintain high‑quality software services that power mission‑critical applications. You will work in an agile environment, collaborating with developers, business partners, and project teams to ensure robust testing coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute QE test plans, strategies, and test cases for web, mobile, and API features.
• Collaborate with development, BPR, and other stakeholders to deliver high‑quality products.
• Automate functional, performance, and code‑quality tests using tools such as Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber‑JVM, Appium, Postman, SOAPUI, JMeter, Jenkins, and SonarQube.
• Leverage GenAI models to assist with coding and testing tasks.
• Perform functional, system, integration, and exploratory testing.
• Provide timely testing status updates and summarize results for project managers.
• Adapt quickly to ambiguous situations and work effectively in a fast‑paced, multi‑tasking environment.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in Software Development Engineer in Test or Quality Engineering.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Exposure to automation, performance testing tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience developing test strategies for UI (web & mobile), API/Web services, and database workflows.
• Familiarity with GenAI solutions and AI models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
