Junior Penetration Tester (Entry-Level)

About the role

CyberVeer Technology is looking for a motivated Junior Penetration Tester to join its security team. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in ethical hacking across web, API, network, and mobile environments. You will work closely with senior consultants to deliver real‑world security assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform penetration testing on web applications, APIs, networks, and mobile apps.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and security audits for client environments.
• Identify, validate, and document security findings with proof‑of‑concept and remediation advice.
• Assist in Red Team engagements and broader security assessment projects.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and executive‑level summaries.
• Support vulnerability management and verify remediation actions.

Required profile

• Good understanding of web application security and the OWASP Top 10.
• Basic knowledge of network security, operating systems, and common attack vectors.
• Familiarity with API security testing methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity or related field (preferred).
• Relevant certifications such as eJPT, CompTIA, OSCP, PNPT are a plus.
• Participation in CTFs, bug bounty programs, or security research is advantageous.
