Junior Line Engineer

About the role

The Junior Line Engineer will support the transformation of the Mouda unit into a high‑tech foil manufacturing centre. Working on the Cold Mill and new foil‑rolling lines, the role focuses on stabilising processes, increasing production volumes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Ramp up new installations such as the Foil Twin Chamber furnace and foil rolling mills.
• Achieve full capacity of foil production from the rolling‑mill system.
• Optimise pass schedules and rolling practices across the cold mill, foil mills and roll grinder to maximise productivity and quality.
• Standardise processes to obtain certifications for global customers in bare and cigarette‑laminate foil segments.
• Train fresh and existing operatives on new and modified equipment.
• Establish, monitor and control SMPs for equipment and utilities in the rolling stream.
• Introduce multi‑skilling and multi‑functioning among operatives and shift mindset from obstruction to growth.
• Implement World Class Manufacturing model, ERP, integrated quality, environment and safety management systems.
• Reduce production costs in areas such as recovery, specific power consumption and rolling oil.
• Ensure safety and environmental standards are met in all operational activities.

Required profile

• Junior‑level engineering background with interest in manufacturing processes.
• Ability to drive culture change and promote continuous improvement.
• Willingness to work on the shop floor and collaborate with operatives.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and cost efficiency.

Required skills

• Operation of foil rolling mills and cold‑mill equipment.
• Familiarity with Foil Twin Chamber furnace processes.
• Understanding of roll grinder and rolling‑mill systems.
• Basic knowledge of ERP systems and production monitoring tools.
