Junior Installation Engineer

About the role

The Junior Installation Engineer is accountable for safety, quality and productivity during elevator installation and handovers, ensuring correct methods, risk assessment and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safety, quality and productivity on site, raise and act on corrective actions for any non‑conformities.
• Apply KONE installation methods and tools, conduct risk assessments where standard methods are not feasible.
• Prepare the site, manage material deliveries (MS 3c, MS 3x), organise storage, logistics and required resources.
• Lead continuous huddles with the installation team to prevent interruptions and improve efficiency.
• Manage customer communication, act as primary contact and ensure timely, professional installation.
• Oversee subcontractors, verify training and certification, and maintain operatives’ safety and wellbeing.

Required profile

• Proactive communicator who can build strong relationships with customers and subcontractors.
• Ability to identify training needs, motivate the team and manage performance.
• Experience in site supervision, material handling and cost management.

Required skills

• KONE installation methods and tools.
• Risk assessment for installation activities.
• Lean improvement tools (Go & See, retrospectives, improvement sessions).
