Janitor (Hotel Maintenance)

About the role

We are seeking a reliable Janitor to maintain the cleanliness and safety of the Sequoia Hotel and its surrounding grounds. The role involves a mix of routine cleaning, waste management, and support for apartment turnover preparations.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash and litter across the property, including moving dumpsters for city pickup.
• Maintain recycling, trash rooms, and dumpster areas in a neat, litter‑free condition.
• Keep maintenance shops, storage, utility, and meter rooms clean and organized.
• Sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, and steam‑clean floors and carpets in common areas.
• Service, clean, and restock common‑area restrooms.
• Perform detailed cleaning of apartment unit turnovers, covering appliances, fixtures, surfaces, and windows.
• Use and store cleaning products according to manufacturer instructions.
• Assist the Property Manager with miscellaneous janitorial tasks as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of multi‑family apartment janitorial experience.
• Knowledge of hazardous material, electronic waste disposal, recycling practices, and water‑conservation methods.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 30 lb.

Required skills

• Proficiency with common hand and power tools used in janitorial maintenance.
