About the role
The Housekeeping Manager oversees daily shift operations for housekeeping, recreation/health club, and laundry (if applicable) at a hospitality property in New Delhi. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas, and employee spaces are clean, well‑maintained, and inspected to meet brand standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Manage housekeeping operations, budgets, and daily shift schedules.
- Verify guest‑room status and communicate updates to the Front Desk promptly.
- Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces.
- Maintain inventory levels of supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
- Supervise an effective inspection program and enforce housekeeping policies.
- Train new room attendants and provide ongoing coaching.
- Schedule staff, track time and attendance, and ensure staffing levels meet operational and financial goals.
- Apply property policies consistently, handle disciplinary actions, and support employee recognition programs.
- Participate in departmental meetings and communicate goals clearly.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required).
- Ability to manage budgets, supervise staff, and maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong communication skills and a focus on guest and employee satisfaction.
