Head of Legal

About the role

Revolut is seeking a Head of Legal to lead its legal function in India. The role will guide the company through complex regulatory and commercial challenges as it expands its fintech products across the market.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on the structuring and launch of new financial products and services in India.
• Negotiate and draft a wide range of commercial agreements, including third‑party, operations, services and marketing contracts.
• Monitor regulatory developments, interpret guidelines and advise internal teams on compliance matters.
• Coordinate with external counsel on product launches, market expansion, privacy and security issues.
• Design and implement efficient contract negotiation processes and maintain contract management systems.
• Act as lead counsel on strategic transactions, resolve disputes and manage pre‑litigation matters.
• Drive ongoing compliance reviews, filings, policy updates and provide timely legal support to the business.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in a legal role within a regulated entity in India.
• Deep knowledge of the Indian regulatory framework for digital banks, payments and banking services.
• Proven ability to handle high‑stakes, complex legal issues in a fast‑moving environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

• Experience working with external law firms and managing compliance programs.
