Head of Finance, Controlling & Accounting (Small Site/Region)

About the role

The Head of Finance, Controlling & Accounting will lead the Petchem Business Support Team for a small site/region, ensuring that financial and accounting operations meet group KPIs, statutory requirements, and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the team to deliver KPI targets in line with SLA/OLA agreements.
• Ensure compliance with export, post‑shipment, and accounts receivable regulations for the Petchem segment.
• Implement system controls, internal controls and process governance to mitigate risk.
• Partner with business units to provide MIS, data analysis and support for customer invoicing and payments.
• Oversee talent management, succession planning, mentoring and coaching within the team.
• Monitor day‑to‑day activities, conduct KPI review meetings and drive continuous improvement of processes.
• Coordinate account closing activities at the segment level and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide cross‑functional training and develop a knowledge pool for smooth operations.

Required profile

• Professional degree such as CA, MBA, ICWA or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, preferably with extensive exposure to RIL operations.
• Strong leadership and conflict‑resolution abilities.
• Excellent planning, prioritisation and communication skills.
