Guest Relation Executive

About the role

The Guest Relation Executive is the first point of contact for guests at Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort & Spa, ensuring a seamless check‑in experience and delivering exceptional service throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Process all guest check‑ins, verify identity, payment method, assign rooms and issue keys.
• Enter Marriott Rewards information and ensure rates match market codes.
• Secure payment, adjust billing, and handle all payment types, vouchers and paid‑outs.
• Compile daily reports, cashier and closing reports, and manage bank drops.
• Provide guests with property information, directions and respond to service requests by coordinating with relevant staff.
• Balance receipts, obtain manual authorizations and follow accounting procedures.
• Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any theft reports.
• Assist management with training, evaluating and coaching team members.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related hospitality experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computer and POS systems for reservations and billing.
• Ability to handle cash, receipts and banking procedures accurately.
• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.
