GIS Consultant (French)

About the role

WSP is looking for an enthusiastic GIS Consultant who is fluent in French and has hands‑on experience with GIS technologies. The role supports data management and mapping for environmental investigations, including contaminated lands, ecology, heritage, and Indigenous relations.

Key responsibilities

• Plot, edit, and analyze spatial data using ArcGIS Pro and the broader ArcGIS Suite.
• Create maps, drawings, figures, charts, and presentation posters for proposals and reports.
• Perform 2D and 3D GIS analysis, file and database management, spatial data capture, georeferencing, and integration into GIS themes.
• Convert GIS data between multiple file formats and maintain web GIS environments (ArcGIS Online/Enterprise).
• Collaborate with senior GIS staff and other WSP offices to meet project and client needs.
• Ensure deliverables comply with WSP Canada standards, provincial regulations, and quality‑control procedures.
• Identify improvements to enhance GIS services and stay current with technology developments.

Required profile

• Practical experience with GIS and a strong interest in GIS technologies.
• Ability to work under the supervision of intermediate and senior GIS personnel.
• Professional communication skills and a commitment to health and safety.
