Forensic Consultant – Investigations & Compliance

About the role

EY is seeking a Consultant to join its Forensics – Investigations & Compliance team in Gurgaon. You will work with cross‑functional teams to uncover fraudulent activities, support legal proceedings, and help clients protect their financial and brand reputation.

Key responsibilities

• Examine financial documents and transactions to identify fraud and irregularities.
• Conduct complex forensic investigations and prepare detailed audit reports.
• Perform audits of financial transactions to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Interview stakeholders to gather contextual information for investigations.
• Collaborate with legal teams to prepare evidence for court proceedings and provide expert testimony.
• Develop and implement forensic audit programs and control systems.
• Maintain accurate records in systems and Excel, validating information against client guidelines.
• Stay current with auditing techniques, regulatory changes, and best practices.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA in Finance.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Target‑oriented and able to work under tight deadlines.
