Financial Planning & Analysis Manager – Chennai

About the role

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will act as a strategic finance partner to Operations leadership, driving profitable growth through rigorous financial planning, performance analysis, revenue assurance, and margin optimisation. Based at AMBIT Tech Park, the role focuses on identifying revenue leakage, uncovering margin‑improvement opportunities and delivering data‑driven insights that shape operational and commercial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Operations, Delivery and Commercial teams to improve financial performance and profitability.
• Provide strategic guidance on revenue, cost, utilisation and margin improvement initiatives.
• Identify, analyse and close revenue‑leakage gaps across accounts and business units.
• Lead annual budgeting, periodic forecasting and monthly/quarterly financial reviews.
• Perform variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods.
• Own business‑level P&L analysis, monitoring revenue, gross margin, EBITDA and cost of delivery.
• Develop performance dashboards and reporting frameworks for business units, accounts and programmes.
• Analyse BPO operational metrics (FTE management, productivity, utilisation, attrition, cost per FTE, revenue per FTE) to support workforce planning.
• Present financial and operational insights to senior leadership and drive monthly business reviews.
• Improve reporting processes, drive automation, ensure data integrity across financial systems.

Required profile

• Professional finance qualification such as CA, CMA or CPA.
• Proven experience in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, preferably in a BPO or services environment.
• Strong understanding of revenue assurance, margin optimisation and P&L management.
• Excellent communication skills to translate financial results into actionable recommendations.
