Financial Analyst II

About the role

ICON plc is seeking a Financial Analyst II to support advanced financial planning, analysis, and decision‑making across the organization. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality financial insights that drive strategic initiatives in the healthcare intelligence and clinical research space.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed variance analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to support business unit performance.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models for scenario evaluation and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to monitor and report key financial and operational metrics.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and implement best practices in financial analysis and reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in financial analysis or a comparable role.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 5% as needed.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Financial modeling expertise.
• Experience with financial software such as SAP or Oracle (preferred).
