Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper leads daily housekeeping, recreation/health club and laundry operations for a hotel property in Mumbai. This role ensures guest rooms, public areas and employee spaces are clean, well‑maintained, and meet the brand’s quality standards while supporting guest satisfaction and budget goals.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all housekeeping shift activities, including room cleaning, public area upkeep, and laundry services.
• Communicate room status to the Front Desk promptly and collaborate with Engineering for maintenance needs.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and uniforms, and assist with ordering.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, addressing deficiencies and ensuring corrective actions.
• Manage departmental expenses, monitor budgets, and contribute to cost‑control initiatives.
• Handle guest complaints, promote exceptional service, and empower staff to deliver high‑quality experiences.
• Participate in HR functions such as staffing, accident investigations, and disciplinary processes.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required).
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams such as Front Desk and Engineering.
