English Facilitator – Secondary School Teacher

About the role

The English Facilitator is responsible for creating an engaging learning environment that develops secondary students' reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. The role involves planning and delivering effective lessons, assessing progress and fostering critical thinking and communication.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver English language and literature lessons aligned with the curriculum.
• Facilitate interactive, student‑centred learning experiences and assess progress through assignments, projects and tests.
• Provide constructive feedback to students and parents and maintain accurate academic records.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies, encouraging participation in debates, public speaking and literary activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and participate in staff meetings and professional development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, English Literature, Education or a related field.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification (preferred).
• Strong command of spoken and written English and knowledge of secondary school curriculum and assessment practices.
• 3–5 years of teaching experience at the secondary level (preferred).

Required skills

• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Classroom management and ability to motivate adolescent learners.
• Creativity in lesson planning and proficiency with educational technology tools.
