Developer Community Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Developer Community Manager based in India to build and lead a developer community from the ground up. The role will serve as the primary liaison between developers and internal product, engineering, marketing, and customer‑success teams, shaping community culture, engagement, and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Establish the community’s foundations, governance, and engagement programs, including Slack, Discourse, Reddit or similar platforms.
• Act as the main community voice by answering questions, moderating discussions, and maintaining a welcoming environment.
• Organise office hours, AMAs, hackathons, challenges and other events to drive participation.
• Develop and manage a content calendar, creating tutorials, technical guides and use‑case resources.
• Capture developer feedback, triage bug reports and feature requests, and translate insights to product teams.
• Track and report community health metrics such as engagement, response times and sentiment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in developer relations, advocacy or community management, with a proven record of building communities from scratch.
• Degree in computer science or equivalent software‑engineering background, or strong technical foundation in open‑source development.
• Excellent written communication skills and ability to collaborate across product, engineering, marketing and customer‑success teams.
