Design Engineer – CAD & Tooling (SolidWorks/3DEXPERIENCE)

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Design Engineer with strong CAD expertise to support the development of consumable mining products and their tooling. The role sits within our global Mining Products Engineering Department and focuses on translating engineering concepts into high‑quality, manufacturable designs using SolidWorks and related tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3D models and 2D drawings in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Create complete drawing packages, including layouts, manufacturing drawings, and bills of materials.
• Support the design and development of consumable product components, moulds, and tooling.
• Maintain CAD standards, libraries, and engineering documentation within ENOVIA/3DEXPERIENCE.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams for design validation, tooling trials, and production improvements.
• Identify design improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 3–7+ years of experience in mechanical or design engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with SolidWorks 2022 (modeling and drafting).
• Proven ability to produce detailed manufacturing drawings and documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and engineering accuracy.
• Experience in engineering or manufacturing environments.
