Deputy Manager – Direct Taxation

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant to lead end‑to‑end direct tax compliance, reporting and assessments for a fast‑growing quick‑service restaurant organization. The role combines technical tax expertise with SAP automation to ensure accurate, timely filings and strong internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Manage corporate tax filings, tax audit reports, transfer pricing documentation and quarterly TDS returns.
• Prepare income‑tax computations, deferred tax schedules, 26AS reconciliations and depreciation schedules.
• Handle income‑tax scrutiny and transfer‑pricing assessments, draft responses and coordinate with external consultants.
• Support SAP enhancements for tax compliance, ensuring timely updates of vendor details, TAN, Form 16A, lower‑deduction certificates, etc.
• Oversee monthly tax closure, statutory and internal reporting, and resolve audit queries.
• Prepare monthly MIS and reports for the Tax Head and communicate changes in direct‑tax legislation to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Qualified CA with 4–6 years of post‑qualification experience in direct taxation.
• Hands‑on experience in tax compliance, assessment and litigation handling.
• Strong working knowledge of SAP (tax module) – mandatory.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
