Deputy General Manager – Estate Management

About the role
The Deputy General Manager – Estate Management leads the operational integrity of all South Region estate sites, ensuring seamless facility performance that meets brand standards, guest expectations, and regulatory requirements. This senior position oversees engineering, maintenance, housekeeping, vendor management, safety compliance, and capital projects.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and monitor all facility, engineering, and estate maintenance activities across the South Region.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, capital expenditure plans, and preventive maintenance schedules.
- Oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), civil, and utility systems to maximize uptime and asset life.
- Negotiate and manage third‑party vendors, contractors, and AMC partners, ensuring SLA compliance.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, environmental, fire, and local regulatory standards.
- Drive energy‑efficiency, sustainability, and resource‑optimization initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and coordinate a multi‑disciplinary team across the region.
- Collaborate with Operations, Procurement, HR, Finance, Security, and Legal for integrated service delivery.
- Prepare and present management reports, dashboards, and audit documentation.
- Manage emergency response, business continuity, and crisis protocols for facility incidents.
- Oversee renovation, refurbishment, and new‑asset commissioning projects from planning to handover.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Hospitality or related field; Master’s preferred.
- 12–15+ years of progressive facility/estate management experience, including 4–5 years in senior leadership.
- Prior experience in resort, hospitality, large‑estate or institutional facilities.
- Proven expertise in MEP systems, vendor contracts, HSE compliance, and capital project management.
- Professional facility‑management certification (IFMA, BIFM or equivalent) is an advantage.
