Deli Assistant – Full-time

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Deli Assistant to join our Centra store on Ballinteer Road. The role focuses on preparing high‑quality hot and cold deli items while delivering excellent customer service in a fast‑paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble sandwiches, rolls, hot dishes and sliced meats following portion‑control standards.
• Cook, display and replenish deli products throughout the day to maintain freshness and visual appeal.
• Ensure counters and display cases meet the highest cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Assist customers with product knowledge, recipe ideas and personalized recommendations.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in line with store policy.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment.
• Capacity to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
• Passion for food and willingness to share that enthusiasm with shoppers.

Required skills

• HACCP training (desirable but not mandatory).
