Consulting Project Management IC2

About the role

Microsoft Industry Solutions is seeking a Consulting Project Management professional (IC2) to join the Business Excellence – Operations team. You will support the delivery lifecycle of industry‑specific engagements, ensuring projects are financially sound, risk‑aware, and aligned with Microsoft Cloud and AI solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Area Project Manager to deliver engagements within the assigned area.
• Own end‑to‑end project financials, drive key performance metrics, and manage risk and issue mitigation.
• Improve process adherence, project hygiene, and timely reporting to maximize customer satisfaction.
• Validate project setup, staffing, and initiation schedules; support resource management and consumption tracking.
• Coordinate subcontractor engagements, enforce security best practices, and maintain issue/risk registers.
• Track and report project status, update forecasts, and approve time and expenses.
• Lead project closure activities and ensure documentation completeness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project or program management within a consulting or technology environment.
• Strong operational excellence mindset with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Excellent analytical skills for financial tracking, risk assessment, and performance reporting.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
