Company Secretary

About the role

JSW Steel Limited, a leading integrated steel manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Company Secretary to lead its secretarial and corporate governance function. The role sits at the heart of board processes, regulatory compliance, and strategic corporate initiatives within a large, listed organization.

Key responsibilities

• Manage board and committee processes, including agenda preparation, minute taking, and governance advisory.
• Ensure compliance with SEBI (LODR) regulations, the Companies Act, and other corporate laws.
• Oversee corporate governance disclosures and act as the primary interface with regulators.
• Support strategic transactions, restructuring activities, and policy implementation.
• Provide governance guidance to senior management, directors, and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• 12‑18 years of experience in a listed company environment, preferably within large, diversified organisations.
• Deep understanding of corporate laws, governance frameworks, and regulatory expectations.
• Proven experience interacting with boards and managing stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to thrive in a high‑pace, dynamic, and professionally rigorous setting.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of SEBI (LODR) regulations and the Companies Act.
• Expertise in board governance processes and corporate secretarial duties.
• Excellent analytical and advisory capabilities related to corporate compliance.
