Communication, Advocacy and Partnership Consultant

About the role

UNICEF’s Gujarat Field Office is seeking a Communication, Advocacy and Partnership Consultant to provide time‑bound technical support for a 15‑month assignment. The consultant will help design and deliver communication, advocacy, stakeholder‑engagement and documentation products that raise the visibility of child‑rights priorities in Gujarat.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement advocacy and communication strategies aligned with UNICEF’s strategic plan.
• Engage and convene government officials, media, civil‑society groups, youth platforms, CSR partners and private‑sector actors to promote child‑rights issues.
• Translate programme evidence and field insights into advocacy messages, policy briefs, media materials and partnership proposals.
• Facilitate coordination among UNICEF programme sections, government departments and partners to ensure joint action.
• Support resource mobilisation and public discourse on health, nutrition, education, child protection, climate action, gender equality and youth participation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Demonstrated experience in communication, advocacy, stakeholder engagement or partnership development, preferably in the development or humanitarian sector.
• Knowledge of child‑rights issues and the socio‑political context of Gujarat.
• Ability to produce high‑quality written and visual communication materials.
