Commercial & Contracting Support Specialist

About the role

The Commercial & Contracting Support Specialist will act as the primary liaison between the organization and its suppliers and service providers. This role ensures that purchase requisitions and orders are executed promptly, contracts are managed efficiently, and inventory levels are optimized to meet production needs.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain trust relationships with all suppliers and service providers.
• Execute purchase requisitions and purchase orders on time, negotiating for the right quality and quantity.
• Coordinate with internal departments such as EPMM, ITD, Stores, and Accounts to manage annual contracts, import orders, and inventory levels.
• Plan and negotiate annual rate contracts for regular supplies and services.
• Obtain supplier balance confirmations and ensure timely payments and statutory documentation.
• Facilitate import clearance through CHA, HO, DEPB/EPCG, and manage related documentation.
• Monitor inventory to meet production targets and address urgent material requirements.

Required profile

• Proven ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
• Experience in timely execution of purchase requisitions and orders.
• Strong negotiation skills for quality, quantity, and pricing.
• Effective coordination with multiple internal departments (e.g., contracts, IT, stores, accounts).
• Knowledge of import procedures and statutory compliance.
