Cleaning Specialist II – Janitorial Operations Manager

About the role

The Cleaning Specialist II will lead our janitorial operations across the Portland area, ensuring that all sites maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and client satisfaction. This role combines team leadership, client relationship management and operational oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily janitorial services at multiple locations, guaranteeing compliance with quality standards.
• Recruit, train, mentor and schedule janitors and site supervisors, fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain strong client relationships, understand their needs and address any concerns promptly.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability for all teams.
• Prepare and monitor budgets for labor, supplies and equipment maintenance.
• Report operational metrics and performance data to senior management.
• Implement sustainable cleaning practices and products where possible.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience managing cleaning or facilities teams in a multi‑site environment.
