Chief of Staff – AI Hive

About the role

Shield AI is seeking a Chief of Staff for its AI Hive unit. The role partners with senior leadership to translate strategic priorities into actionable plans, drive cross‑functional alignment, and enhance organizational effectiveness across finance, engineering, product, operations, legal, and other functions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership to convert strategic priorities into operating plans, execution roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
• Lead the Annual Operating Plan, OKRs, business reviews and governance rhythms to ensure alignment.
• Coordinate complex cross‑functional initiatives, manage dependencies, and remove roadblocks to keep priorities on track.
• Develop executive presentations, board materials and business communications that support decision‑making.
• Analyze performance metrics and organizational data to surface trends, risks and actionable recommendations.
• Design scalable operating mechanisms, governance frameworks and workflows to improve effectiveness.
• Represent the executive in leadership meetings, ensuring decisions are translated into clear actions.
• Build trusted relationships across the organization while maintaining confidentiality and increasing executive capacity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, management consulting, program management, product operations, military leadership, or a related field.
• Proven ability to lead complex cross‑functional initiatives involving multiple senior stakeholders.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with excellent operational execution skills.
• Demonstrated influence without direct authority and ability to build alignment across diverse teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive‑level presentations.
• Analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with a track record of turning complex data into actionable recommendations.
• High degree of judgment, integrity, professionalism and discretion handling confidential information.
