Chief Manager – Production (Power Cables)

About the role

The Chief Manager – Production will lead the entire operations of a power‑cable manufacturing facility, ensuring safe, efficient and high‑quality production while meeting cost, output and profitability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily manufacturing operations and execute production schedules to meet customer demand.
• Optimize processes for cost efficiency, raw‑material utilization, machine uptime and labor productivity.
• Lead and develop a large team of managers, engineers, supervisors and operators, fostering a safety‑first and quality‑focused culture.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, ASTM) and customer specifications; drive root‑cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance, spare‑parts inventory and asset performance to maximize equipment uptime.
• Maintain strict health, safety and environmental standards and lead initiatives to reduce workplace incidents.
• Develop and control the plant’s operational budget, implement cost‑reduction strategies and monitor KPIs related to cost per unit and profitability.
• Coordinate with supply‑chain teams to secure raw materials, manage vendor relationships and optimize inventory levels.
• Lead capital‑expenditure projects, capacity expansions and process innovation initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale manufacturing or production facilities, preferably in the power‑cable or related industrial sector.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to set performance goals, provide coaching and drive continuous improvement.
• Deep knowledge of safety, quality and environmental regulations applicable to industrial production.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, control costs and improve operational efficiency.
