Care Buddy – Senior Support & Companion Role

About the role

The Care Buddy is the first point of contact and the face of Prayojana, providing empathetic, warm support to senior members as if they were family. The role involves daily well‑being checks, assistance with errands, appointments, technology, and companionship.

Key responsibilities

• Check on assigned members daily to monitor their well‑being.
• Assist with errands such as banking, grocery or vegetable procurement.
• Schedule and accompany members to doctor visits and lab appointments.
• Help resolve technology‑related issues, including setting up WhatsApp, internet, and social media.
• Visit members at least once a week, assess needs, and provide support.
• Educate members on emergency procedures and coordinate care during emergencies.
• Update medical records in the Prayojana Health App and monitor medication inventory.
• Provide companionship by walking with members, attending social events, and arranging transportation.

Required profile

• High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and empathy.
• Available to take emergency calls 24 × 7 and willing to travel on a personal two‑wheeler.
• Punctual, polite, and committed to supporting seniors’ daily life.
• Basic experience with web and mobile applications.

Required skills

• Basic computer operation.
• Internet usage and troubleshooting.
• Mobile app navigation.
