Care Buddy – Senior Support Companion

About the role

The Care Buddy is the primary point of contact and friendly face for Prayojana members. You will support seniors in their daily lives with empathy, ensuring their wellbeing, independence, and social engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Check on assigned members daily and visit at least once a week.
• Assist with errands such as banking, grocery shopping, and vegetable procurement.
• Schedule and accompany members to doctor appointments and lab visits.
• Help members with technology issues, including WhatsApp, internet, and social media platforms.
• Educate members on emergency procedures and coordinate care during emergencies.
• Update medical records in the Prayojana Health App and monitor medication inventory.
• Provide companionship, accompany walks, and attend social events or concerts.
• Organise tickets and arrange transportation using a personal two‑wheeler.

Required profile

• High level of integrity, trustworthiness and availability for 24/7 emergency calls.
• Strong empathy, patience, punctuality and commitment to seniors' comfort.
• Basic computer and internet proficiency.
• Own two‑wheeler (bike or scooter) for transportation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work is a plus.

• Basic computer and internet knowledge.
