Care Buddy – Senior Support Companion

About the role

The Care Buddy is the primary point of contact and friendly face for members of Prayojana. You will support assigned seniors with empathy, helping them manage daily tasks, appointments, and emergencies, ensuring their well‑being and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Check on members’ day‑to‑day well‑being and visit at least once a week.
• Assist with errands such as banking, grocery shopping, and vegetable procurement.
• Schedule and accompany members to doctor visits and laboratory appointments.
• Help resolve technology issues, including setting up WhatsApp, internet, and social media accounts.
• Educate members on emergency procedures and coordinate care during emergencies.
• Update medical records in the Prayojana Health App and monitor medication inventory.
• Provide companionship, accompany members on walks, social events, and arrange transportation.
• Organise tickets for concerts, movies, or other events as requested.

Required profile

• High level of integrity, trustworthiness, and empathy.
• Available to take emergency calls 24/7.
• Punctual, polite, and committed to keeping seniors comfortable.
• Basic computer and internet knowledge.
• Own two‑wheeler for transportation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work is a plus.
