Calibration Engineer – Gasoline Project Management

About the role

Bosch is looking for an experienced Calibration Engineer to lead gasoline engine calibration projects. You will work on powertrain systems, develop engine management solutions and ensure optimal performance and emissions compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Technically lead calibration development projects for gasoline engines.
• Develop and validate engine management systems using model‑based tools.
• Analyse large data sets and perform statistical testing (Design of Experiments).
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HIL) simulations.
• Maintain safety standards and deliver results with minimal supervision.
• Travel as required to support project needs.

Required profile

• 10‑12 years of relevant experience in automotive calibration.
• BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Mechanical, ECE, EEE or Automobile engineering.
• Strong attention to detail, high motivation and good communication skills.
• Flexibility to take on additional tasks to meet business requirements.

Required skills

• Model‑based calibration tools: INCA, Uniplot, Cameo, ASCMO, AVL Puma.
• Analytical software for large‑volume data handling.
• Modelling and simulation techniques.
• Programming/coding languages (generic).
• Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HIL) systems.
• Design of Experiments (DoE) and statistical testing methods.
• Knowledge of engine combustion processes and emissions formulation.
