Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

Flowserve is seeking a proactive Buyer to support its Commercial Operations team. You will be responsible for securing subcontracted components and services under optimal price, quality, and delivery conditions, aligning purchasing activities with the company’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Execute Just‑In‑Time principles to supply all materials required for facility projects.
• Negotiate pricing and commercial terms to maximize profitability.
• Assist service centers during the quotation stage to ensure competitive pricing and delivery.
• Monitor order progress and ensure on‑time delivery from external suppliers and intercompany sources.
• Identify and resolve import‑related issues and coordinate contractual deliveries.
• Establish supply agreements with key suppliers for preferential pricing and delivery.
• Review stock levels to maintain optimal on‑site inventory.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Proficiency in purchasing techniques and implementation of technical and quality requirements.
• Fluency in English.
• Strong understanding of negotiations, supplier evaluation, development, supplier quality, and logistics.
• Knowledge of market requirements and global strategic negotiation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant purchasing experience.
