Buyer – Books & Stationery

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Buyer to manage the procurement of books and stationery for the Home category at noon. Based in Gurugram, you will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure cost‑effective, high‑quality sourcing that supports our fast‑moving e‑commerce platform.

Key responsibilities

• Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Act as the main interface between suppliers and internal departments throughout the buying process and new projects.
• Monitor market trends, customer preferences and competitor strategies to identify opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts, improve pricing and terms, and drive cost‑reduction initiatives.
• Manage the full purchase order (PO) cycle to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Build, maintain and manage strong supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with warehouse, content and merchandising teams to ensure smooth stock in‑warding and product visibility.
• Conduct market visits to research products, study trends and expand the supplier base.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Highly detail‑oriented with strong business sense.
• Analytical and numerically adept with proven problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective time‑management skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet targets.
• Commercial and financial awareness, understanding the impact of procurement decisions on order fulfilment and profitability.
