About the role
The Business Banking Working Capital Relationship Manager is responsible for acquiring new asset relationships and managing a portfolio of 30‑40 high‑net‑worth (HNW) business banking clients. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality service, driving revenue, and ensuring strong product penetration across the portfolio.
Key responsibilities
- Generate leads with branch teams, update CRM, and follow the full lead conversion process.
- Identify and target high‑potential customers, develop wallet‑share strategies, and achieve volume and profitability targets.
- Maintain regular client calls, document interactions in the CRM, and coordinate with product groups for monthly performance reviews.
- Improve portfolio yield and return on capital through effective cross‑selling of liabilities, corporate salary accounts, and other asset products.
- Oversee pre‑ and post‑disbursement documentation, including legal, valuation, and deferral closure.
- Provide day‑to‑day client servicing such as cheque referrals, cash transactions, trade and FX support, and issuance of letters of credit or bank guarantees.
- Coordinate with credit, operations, and trade desks to secure approvals, set limits, and ensure smooth transaction processing.
Required profile
- Proven experience in business banking relationship management, preferably with HNW clients.
- Track record of acquiring and managing a portfolio of corporate banking relationships.
- Strong understanding of banking products, cross‑selling techniques, and revenue generation.
- Ability to work closely with branch teams, product specialists, and internal stakeholders.
Required skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems for lead tracking and client interaction logging.
- Knowledge of financial documentation, valuation processes, and legal compliance.
- Familiarity with trade finance instruments such as letters of credit and bank guarantees.
