Band 6 Prevention and Control of Infection Nurse

About the role

The NHS Golden Jubilee is seeking a motivated Band 6 Prevention and Control of Infection Nurse to join its proactive infection prevention team. You will play a key part in delivering the Trust's infection control programme and supporting safe patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of the Prevention and Control of Infection programme across the Trust.
• Provide on‑call support and assist in the delivery of the on‑call infection control service.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote best practice in infection prevention.
• Undertake training and development activities to maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of infection control guidelines.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (first level) with strong interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiastic, motivated and a committed team player.
• Willingness to learn and develop expertise in infection prevention, even if prior experience is limited.

Required skills

• Infection prevention and control knowledge or experience.
