Backend Engineer - Python/FastAPI

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale robust APIs using Python and FastAPI. You will work closely with product and frontend teams, experiment with new technologies, and leverage AI‑assisted tools to accelerate development.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and scale backend services and APIs with Python & FastAPI.
• Ensure APIs are secure, efficient, well‑documented, and incorporate authentication methods such as OAuth and JWT.
• Design and manage structured databases for optimal performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with frontend and product teams for seamless integration.
• Research and apply cloud technologies (AWS/GCP) as needed.
• Participate in code reviews and promote clean, maintainable code.
• Utilize AI‑driven tools (Windsurf, Claude, GPT) to boost productivity.
• Take initiative to solve problems and improve processes independently.
