AWS Cloud Engineer L2 (Hybrid) – Chennai

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer (L2) to join our team in Chennai on a hybrid basis. You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing Red Hat OpenShift on AWS (ROSA) clusters while ensuring high availability and operational stability in a 24/7 environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage ROSA clusters on AWS.
• Perform lifecycle management: installation, upgrades, patching, and scaling.
• Integrate OpenShift with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, ELB/ALB, IAM, S3, RDS, and Route 53.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, or Tekton.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Manage container images, registries, and security scanning.
• Apply security best practices: IAM roles, OpenShift RBAC, network policies, and secrets management.
• Monitor and troubleshoot clusters and applications using Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, and EFK/ELK stacks.
• Support application teams with micro‑services deployments, Helm charts, and Operators.
• Handle incident management, root‑cause analysis, and production support in a shift‑based 24/7 model.
• Ensure disaster recovery, backup strategies, and compliance with security and operational standards.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of core AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, ELB/ALB, Auto Scaling, S3, RDS/DynamoDB).
• Solid understanding of Kubernetes internals and container orchestration.
• Hands‑on experience with OpenShift, especially ROSA.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change Management).
• Experience supporting 24/7 production environments.
