Associate SOC FS Cyber Advisory

About the role

At PwC, the Associate will work within the Cybersecurity and Privacy services team to help clients implement effective cybersecurity programs and protect against threats.

Key responsibilities

• Round‑the‑clock threat monitoring, detection, and analysis of suspicious behavior.
• Alert triage, incident validation, prioritization, and creation of incidents per SOPs.
• Reporting and escalation to stakeholders, post‑incident analysis, and maintaining incident response policies.
• Preserving security alerts and incident artefacts for forensic purposes.
• Developing and maintaining incident management and response procedures.
• Ensuring adherence to SLAs and KPIs, reducing Mean Time to Detection and Response.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in SOC, incident management, threat detection, vulnerability management or related areas.
• Relevant certifications such as Certified SOC Analyst, CEH, CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or GIAC GCIH.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science or a related field.
• Ability to work under SLA and KPI constraints.

Required skills

• Experience with SOC platforms and SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk).
• Threat hunting, threat intel management, and automation/asset integration.
• Knowledge of vulnerability management tools and SOAR platforms.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards.
