Associate Painting Technician

About the role

The Associate Painting Technician supports the paint shop operations, ensuring high‑quality coating application and compliance with global standards. You will manage material stocks, conduct inspections, and drive continuous improvement in a fast‑paced industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain spray‑painting equipment (conventional, pressure‑pot, air‑assisted, airless).
• Perform surface preparation, especially grit blasting, and apply paint according to the assembly plan.
• Monitor daily paint material and phosphating chemical inventories, place orders, and maintain safety stock.
• Conduct daily and periodic quality tests (environmental condition, blotter, MEK, WFT, DFT, adhesion X‑Cut) and record results.
• Execute preventive maintenance of paint booths and kitchens on a weekly basis.
• Handle audits (FM Global, ISO, OHSAS, customer) and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Provide training to new joiners and lead daily briefings for operators and helpers.
• Identify and implement new painting developments within defined timeframes.

Required profile

• Strong planning and execution skills with a focus on productivity.
• Effective communication and coordination with assembly supervisors and other departments.
• Ability to manage manpower to meet production targets.
