Associate Manager – HR

About the role

The Associate Manager – HR supports the HR Business Partner for the Energy Business and IA leadership team, driving people‑related processes and systems aligned with business objectives. The role covers workforce planning, talent development, employee engagement and building organisational capability to enable growth and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full employee life‑cycle for Energy Corp, coordinating hiring to retirement processes in line with GMR HR policy and ensuring ERP system compliance.
• Identify training needs, create and roll out the annual training calendar, and coordinate delivery with external consultants and internal SMEs, tracking completion and effectiveness.
• Oversee talent and performance management activities, including goal setting, mid‑year reviews, succession planning dashboards and talent dossiers.
• Lead employee engagement initiatives, administer surveys, coordinate action‑plan roll‑outs, and organize corporate events such as sports, cultural programs and leader connects.
• Maintain reporting and MIS dashboards for senior leadership, tracking plan versus actual performance and providing monthly updates.

Required profile

• MBA from a reputed institute (engineering degree before MBA is desirable but not essential).
• 6–8 years of HR experience, preferably in large Indian companies with strong HR best‑practice exposure.
• Hands‑on experience in HR generalist functions, including talent acquisition, learning & development, performance management and employee engagement.
• Strong analytical, planning and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
