Assistant Unit Manager – Knowledge Services (Banking & Capital Markets)

About the role

The Assistant Unit Manager – Knowledge Services will lead a team of around 20 professionals delivering non‑voice BPO services for a US banking and capital markets client. The role operates on India night‑shift hours and requires strong people‑management and domain expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and resolve performance, behavior, and attendance issues using prescribed management techniques.
• Oversee productivity, personnel matters and payroll processing.
• Conduct performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise in capital markets and brokerage operations.
• Adjust operations to meet service‑level agreements under the Operations Manager’s supervision.
• Complete all client‑related training and hold regular team meetings.
• Communicate process and client changes to direct reports within defined timelines.
• Offer hands‑on assistance and mentoring to resolve team issues.
• Motivate the team, support career development and ensure long‑term engagement.
• Ensure timely reporting and delivery of client commitments.
• Identify and implement continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 + years experience in a BPO environment, preferably in Banking & Capital Markets.
• Prior experience handling a team for at least 2 years, ideally within the same industry.
• Excellent communication skills for client and management calls.
• Willingness to work US night‑shift timings (India).
• Educational qualification of 12 + 3 years (B.Com, BBA, BBM preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Additional certifications in finance or stock‑market subjects are a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of capital‑market and brokerage operations.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
