Assistant Professor – Aerodynamics & Propulsion

About the role

The university is seeking an Assistant Professor to join its Coimbatore campus. The role involves teaching, research, and academic service in the areas of aerodynamics, thermodynamics, propulsion, and related subjects for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, and labs for UG and PG courses in propulsion, thermodynamics, aerodynamics, and gas dynamics.
• Prepare, review, and update syllabi and course materials.
• Supervise student projects, theses, and guide PhD candidates.
• Conduct independent research, secure funded projects, and establish collaborations with industry and academia.
• Publish research findings in reputable journals and conferences, file patents, and contribute to product development.
• Perform administrative and academic duties as required by the department.

Required profile

• PhD with specialization in aerodynamics, thermodynamics, or propulsion.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor students at UG and PG levels.
• Strong research record with publications in recognized venues.
• Experience in securing research funding and collaborating with external partners.
