Assistant Manager – Wind Turbine Blade Manufacturing

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Wind Turbine Blade Manufacturing will supervise shop‑floor activities for wind turbine blade production, ensuring schedules and quality standards are met while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise mold preparation, composite material lay‑up, and curing processes on the shop floor.
• Coordinate production teams to maintain workflow and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Oversee handling and storage of raw materials such as composite fibers and resins, and manage inventory levels.
• Implement quality control measures including visual inspections, mechanical property testing, and dimensional checks with coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
• Manage operation and routine maintenance of equipment like mold systems, resin mixing/dispensing machines, and curing ovens.
• Identify and execute process‑improvement initiatives to optimise mould preparation, resin application, and curing cycles.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising manufacturing shop‑floor activities, preferably in composite or wind‑turbine blade production.
• Strong knowledge of material handling, inventory control and supply‑chain coordination.
• Ability to work with quality‑assurance teams to resolve defects and implement corrective actions.
