Assistant Manager - Housekeeping

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Housekeeping will oversee the cleanliness, maintenance and safety of all public and guest areas at Grand Mercure Bangalore. Reporting to the Housekeeping Manager, you will ensure that service standards are consistently met while supporting a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain all hotel areas to the highest standards of cleanliness, maintenance and safety.
• Assign duties, inspect work, handle guest complaints and take corrective action as needed.
• Coordinate with all hotel departments to maximise cooperation, productivity and guest satisfaction.
• Train the housekeeping team on Standard Operating Procedures and safety provisions, fostering teamwork and motivation.
• Identify cost‑effective resource use and support financial management objectives.
• Work with Department Associates, Team Leaders and other managers to ensure operational readiness and efficient resource utilisation.
• Escalate any issues affecting Accor’s interests to senior management.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of proven experience in a similar housekeeping role, preferably in a luxury or high‑volume hotel.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, procedures and housekeeping systems.
• Ability to lead, train and motivate a team.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to brand standards.
