Assistant – Aircraft Rescue & Fire Fighting (ARFF)

About the role

The Assistant – ARFF supports the airport fire department in responding to aircraft incidents, structural fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous material situations. You will help ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and airport personnel by delivering fire‑suppression, rescue, and emergency medical services on site.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to aircraft and structural fire emergencies, medical incidents, and hazardous material events on airport premises.
• Operate fire‑suppression equipment using water, foam, dry chemicals, and other agents.
• Conduct search and rescue operations in smoke‑filled or hazardous environments.
• Provide first aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) until advanced medical personnel arrive.
• Perform daily inspections and maintenance of fire trucks, extinguishers, PPE, and related equipment.
• Maintain inventory, incident reports, training records, and shift logs for regulatory compliance.
• Participate in ICAO‑mandated training, fire drills, and emergency response simulations.

Required profile

• Ability to work in high‑stress, physically demanding environments.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts and be on‑call for emergencies.
• Commitment to adhere to local, state, and federal safety regulations and SOPs.

Required skills
