Application Developer – Microsoft Cloud

About the role

IBM Consulting is looking for an Application Developer specialized in Microsoft Cloud to design, implement, and support Azure‑based data solutions. You will work with cross‑functional teams to build robust data pipelines, storage platforms, and integration services that enable clients to accelerate their hybrid cloud and AI initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage and related services.
• Create scalable data storage solutions with Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL Server, and Cosmos DB.
• Integrate advanced data services such as Azure Databricks, Synapse, Microsoft Fabric, and Purview.
• Write high‑quality code in Python, T‑SQL, Java, R or Scala to support data processing and analytics.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams, leveraging Azure DevOps for continuous integration and deployment.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (preferred) in a relevant field.
• Proven experience designing and supporting solutions on the Microsoft Azure Data cloud platform.
• Hands‑on experience building and maintaining data pipelines and storage solutions.
• Strong programming skills in at least one of the listed languages.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps for collaborative development.
